a man we know has a 1999 f250 for sale, ext cab, longbed, 6 speed, 4x4,7.3 diesel .It is hunter green with about 192,000 miles on it . I think it has 3.73 gears in it because at 60 in 6th gear the tack is at 2,000 -2,100
It has a chip 125 hp from m&m performance (never herd of them) also a triple disk cluch ,it makes 24 psi of boost , the pyro stays around 700 degres it's straight piped 3.5 exhaust:confusedconfused. he is asking 11,000 for it. He selling b/c he bought a cummins
drives like new and has all the records on it. any input would be nice on if you think it's a good deal

2000 rpm at 60 is probably not 3.73, my truck has 3.73 and i'm at like 68 mph at 2000 rpm. you may have 4.10s

That truck is going to have 3.73's, unless they've been changed aftermarket. You have a 4R100, Rob, and the OD ratio is .71, IIRC. On the 6 speed manual, it is more like .78.

The 3.73's are really a good all around gear. In the OBS you could either get the 3.55's which were great for mileage but not so great for towing or you had the 4.10's which were awesome for towing but sucked in the mileage dept. Seems like the 3.73's split that and give you the best of both worlds....
