Addressing the ac question.. It appears you already opened the system because the front of the radiator ac condenser is missing. I do not see it in any of the pic you posted.

I pulle my stock 94 turbo idi with the front on,turbo in place and the hood on. it cleared the the radiator support by about 1 inch. I did pull the bolts on the hood hinges and push up. I barrowed a 2000 hf picker from a buddy and used shortest chain I could. It was a pain by myself but got it done. Oil pan was on plus pulleys and it was tight tight.
when I installed I reversed the process without the new turbo or mounts on top and made it a little easier with a touch more room. I would worry about losing it with straps.
