hello im james this is my first time posting here. I just bought a 1990 f250 with a 7.3 idi. so far I love this truck but I am having a problem with it. it started two days ago and it only happened once when I went from park to reverse I got a grinding sound. seems to be from the transmission but I am not sure as im in the truck when it happens. I shifted to drive then back to reverse and it didnt happen again. today it did it again and seems to want to do this mor often now. going to drive then reverse fixes it sometimes now. the main worry I have now is on the way to work tonight I slowed down to let a car turn and I heard the grinding start for just a moment and then it went away. so far only going to reverse is the surefire way to produce the noise but it is somewhat random. any thoughts? this is a 4wd aswell if that helps.
1990 f250 4wd auto trans issue. need advice.
