12,000 Posts Milestone

I noticed today I was approaching this 12,000th post and was wondering what it should be. Should it be about thanking all those that have asked for help or those that have helped me. Or just wonder what I have had to offer in my long winded answers. So this is what I felt it should be about. My truck... Yesterday as I was driving home from a party of 150 people I helped the wifey and daughter put on I was smelling diesel... Darn it anyway. It was dark when I parked the rig so I left the engine running and used my 5 cell Maglite looking for a fuel leak. Found the number 8 return line cap wet. So I'm going to fix that tomorrow and upgrade all the return lines to the larger turbo size. I will be removing that hard line from the number 8 location back to the rubber short line off the injection pump. I have the brass fittin of the three connections way back there and I have a couple of "special" return line caps. I will post a pic and part number from Ford of them later. So in closeing I want to say thanks for all those that helped me reach another posting milestone. Just a few months ago I recall 10,000 and then it was 11,000. Now its 12,000... Where will it end.... Will I ever eclipes Mel... Nope but I have my eye on towcat at this time... Hes not a target but just someone who is in front of me. Ya gotta have a plan...

Now you just know I can't match you for posts. You have much more work on this board than I could ever do. Your one of the behind the scenes unsung heros that keep the chains off the forums. If I was a moderater I'm afraid there would be some unpleasant things said to some who offend the helpers on here. I'm a black or white personality meaning its right or its wrong. there is no grey area like a "small fib". I will say this about being part of helping others and improving their skill level. Its very fulfilling for me. I still find out things I had no idea about on these trucks and engines and am looking forwards to the next discovery...

Well....12,000 posts eh....they way I figure it, you probably post 3000 of those on ebay links or scores or timing meter purchases, at least another 3000 referencing "Back Seat" couple thousand "Welcomes" few thousand more super helpfull tips and suggestions, educational and so forth, countless PM's ....

In all actuality Gary, you are an extremely helpful man here, always willing to provide accurate information with substantive reasoning and facts in your posts, you've been entertaining, take the shots on the chin..about that back seat...to which I still want to see a full blown item by item layout in picture form..ONE day...better yet see it in person!

You have shown your true colours as a gentleman willing to go that extra mile to help most anyone and it is truly a wonderful thing.

Personally you've revealed things that make you whom you are, and for me and likely a few others who have not met you I consider you a friend.
