glow plugs? cant make it smoke when i go to pass but read somewhere that if glow plugs are not hot can make smoke noticed the "wait to start" light flickers a bit after start up thanks- marcocor

update topped up the coolant didnt need much also changed the fuel filter ,still smoked on start up smoke did not smell of coolant :dunno:dunno:dunno- marcocor

99 sub starts fine seems to run ok so here is the story cold start no smoke warms up a little and the smoke starts looks like water comming from the tailpipe but no smell of coolant op temp and smoke goes away until i stomp on it to pass and i get a whiteish grey cloud of smoke but no smoke at...- marcocor

oil in the intercooler???
hey guys i am new to the diesel thing i just bought a 99 suburban 6.5 td ait has an intercooler and turbo down pipe there are 2 1/8 plugs on the bottom of the IC and one has a touch of oil comming from it should there be anyh oil in the IC at all the truck only has 59K miles ?- marcocor

98 diesel suburban
looking to buy this sub but I am totally new to diesel world so what do i need know about 6.5ltd before i get too far ahead of my self it is a 98 2500 sub 4x4 w 95k miles it is in oregon and i am in vancouver canada so the more I know the better thanks- marcocor
