    Tachometer

well, like you said, figure out how many teeth are on the ip gear and make a wheel the same. u could also count the teeth on the flexplate ring gear, if its close(not off by more than a few teeth) u could put the sensor in the inspection cover thing(if its an auto). if you gonna use the...

    Tachometer

i think auto meter also sells a diesel tach that reads to like 5K rpm, it requires you to make a tone wheel that has 4 notches(one every 90deg) to fit your harmonic balencer. i think thats a better idea than the ones that run off of the alternator... i mean, belts slip. if it was a serp belt...

    VRV Question

i had a shifting problem with my truck. my vacuum line going to the modulator was rubbing on the air cleaner and got a hole rubbed in it. the problem sometimes wasnt there because it would suck tight to the air cleaner. i would double check the lines. btw how much does a vrv cost?

    Testing CDR valve?

A diesel tech told me once, if u look into the intake and see oil, like alot of oil then you need a new CDR(but this is commin from the guy that forgot to put oil in a 6.0 and tried to go for a drive). Ive also heard you can clean them, but i never heard how.
