    Return Lines Leaking

My local diesel guy told me to take the hard lines completely off the injectors (not just crack them to see if fuel is coming out) and have some one crank the motor over and watch to see if any of the injectors are spewing fuel out the top of the injector. i.e. the injector is stuck and wont...

    Return Lines Leaking

The tank i was on had about 3/4 when it died on the interstate. I've tried to bleed any air from the filter to the injectors and I get fuel coming out at each point I crack open. however, I'm not sure I understand how having air on that side of the fuel supply will pressure up the return lines...

    Return Lines Leaking

I did a search on this and found a few things but nothing answering my exact question... The truck recieved new injectors and return line kit about 1.5 years ago and has run fine ever since. However, a few months ago it started running a little rough and I replaced the fuel filter to no...

    Dana 70 front

So I have been working for a lady out in the country and she has some stuff around the property... Well, just so happens that there is a dana 70 front end I found and she said I'm more than welcome to have it but all the information on the forums are usually about d60 fronts. The axle...

    Hummin the Devil's tune...

Your not very funny!!!:backoff No really, I just didn't have the time or help to do both sides, I need it running because that is how I work. No trucky no worky and then bills.....:puke: I was planning to tear down the motor and rebuild it this winter when I don't really need the truck. I...

    rocker arms

Well, I did as you guys say the book tells it to be done... Haven't started it yet but we'll find out in the morning. Now I know you guys are not lying to me but I would really like to talk to the guy who wrote that book because I would like them to tell me what I'm missing. Basically the...

    rocker arms

That doesn't make much since to me... cookoo I haven't changed the push rod length or the rocker arm ratio so as long as the motor was built correctly the first time the valves should never hit the pistons weither or not the lifters are pumped up or not. Correct me if I'm wrong but thats just...

    rocker arms

Ok so I've got the heads off... After I put them back on do you torque the nuts that hold the rocker arms to a sqecified torque and if so what is that? What I have always done on the small block chevys is turn the motor until (for each piston) the exhaust valve just starts to open and then...

    4" exhaust kits

Are you guys leaving the Y portion of the exhaust along and just connecting the 4" after that once it comes down and lines up to the rear? If so wouldn't that leave a bit if 3" exhaust to go through for the drivers side? I had thought of cutting the Y out and going from 3" to 4" almost...

    Glow plug tip broke

Thank you guys so much!!! That relieved me of a lot of stress. Yes, I have to pull the head on at least one side so while I'm at it I figured I would do the other as well. Once I pull the injection pump and eventually put it back on, am I going to need to have re-timed? I have no intention...

    Glow plug tip broke

So I have done quite a bit of research about removing the heads and how its a wise thing to get studs when you put back together and when you take the heads off you want to only go in 1/4 turn increments in SEQUENCE but time and time again I see that sequence thing mentioned for the bolts but no...

    Glow plug tip broke

So I started to pull out the old plugs and most were ok, but of course one came out with out a tip  I suppose that means I need to pull the head? I haven't started it yet and don't intend too. Any suggestions? i.e. what kind of head gaskets and while I'm at it what else might be worth...

    Glow plugs

I've called several different places and they don't seem to know the answer and I have looked through the forums search and I can't find the answer either. Are beru and "motocraft" plugs the same thing? I called my local auto parts place and they have "original equipment" "motocraft" glow...

    $4.20 for diesel

The reason fuel is so high is so that we can give our money to those sheks or whatever they are in the mid east so they can afford to hire brittney spears for a private show at a few million a pop.

    $1.40 per litre for Diesel....WMO.

Just a thought I had when I built my filtering tank was to have a valve at the very bottom and then another one slightly above the bottom. The idea is that sediments will go to the bottom, especially water. All I have to do is let a little oil out of the very bottom to let all the junk out and...

    $1.40 per litre for Diesel....WMO.

I had asked the question about a week ago in regards to burning used motor oil... Well, I got my set up complete!!! It's a 60 gallon tank with clear piece of pek tubing on the front with a hook up for the air compressor (no gravity feed for me...) and a 5 micron water filter. Just went to the...

    Block freeze plug write up

Now that would make a lot of sense... I have had a really decent small block chevy completely ruined when the coolant inside froze. The "freeze" plugs were completely fine, still in place and hadn't moved a hair... The block on the other hand was split open all the way down the side.

    Front end

I suppose that before I go bending anything, what would be the best way to check the springs up front for correct height as well as the bushings. Wouldn't the bushings in the I beams and the arm that goes toward the rear affect the geometry if they were worn out?

    Front end

I took it to a guy today who I know a lot better about correcting the problem and he said he thought there wasn't a lot I could do. He has done alignments for quite some time now and has his own shop. I did ask him about bending the beams but he wasn't too sure about that. The stealership...

    Front end

I have the two wheel drive f250 in my 86' and it is really chewing up my tires on the out side edge cookoo You would think that over time the springs would sack and the tires would ware on the inside of the tire... Anyways, I've replaced all pitman arms, tie rod ends (basically everything from...
