    Today was a bad day.

Well, my truck has been running great. Fresh heads, new injectors, new starter solenoid and battery cables that are a day old. She was truly running and driving like a dream. Not using oil, not a hint of coolant usage - It was finally the truck that I'd worked so hard to put together. Great...

    Money Pit: Stage Two

Cool... I feel better about ripping into it now.. I'll probably start in a few weeks - I'm going to enjoy driving the truck for a little while first...:D

    Money Pit: Stage Two

Wow guys, after a lot of advice, parts, dollar signs and elbow grease, money pit is up and running like a champ. Major engine problems included a valve that was burnt so bad that it had to be identified by dental records, and 4 injectors that were more like faucets. (Thanks for the tip on the...

New return lines leak worse than originals!!

Let me know if you need any piece/parts - I think I've got some spare caps and o-rings that would save you from having to order a new install kit if you've got any torn o-rings or broken nipples..

    HEADLINER QUESTIONS

I've done several color changes and a lot of interior restoration on some really rotten looking cars. Your headliner should be pretty easy, just make sure that you mask off well and apply the dye evenly. My reccomendation would be to use nothing but SEM products - they're a little more pricey...

    A little Timing advice

Okay, so after 4 weeks worth of waiting for parts, struggling with a bad back, re-ordering parts (don't ask) and stringing together foul language that would make an over-the-road trucker blush -cuss - I've got money pit put back together. History: bought this thing with a horrendous back-fire...

    Water Galley Plug

Hahaha.. Well, "Money Pit" was the right name... $200 worth of air compressor and $140 worth of 1/2" impact wrench later and the plug is out. Makes the $16 socket (Which hasn't arrived yet - the local NAPA ended up getting one for me) seem a little more of a managable price. ;Really I...

    Water Galley Plug

Okay, I want to vent more than anything - maybe somebody's got a good trick that I don't know about... I've got my truck all back together - fresh heads... Ready to re-plumb the coolant system, and I've got a water galley plug installed on the passenger side head where the heater hose should...

    Money Pit; an introduction

Thanks for the warm welcome guys - you're making my whole endevaor into the diesel world almost too easy.. Thanks for the vote of confidence Tonka - I've never been into one before, but I'm going to give her a shot.. Honestly, I don't even know which transfer case it's got right now. As I...

    Money Pit; an introduction

So, I've been hanging out here in the background for a while, thought I'd finally get a user name and jump into the discussion. I've been a gas guy forever - gone through more cars, engines and combos than you guys care to hear about; but this is my first venture into Ruldoph's engine. I got a...
