    Oog does a waterpump.

Bumpity. Found a plumbing wrench that I did some ultra-precise fine tuning of the width to 1.875 (+/- .500) with a grinder, file & cut-off wheels. Going to give it a shot tomorrow. I'll post pics of the tool if you guys want to see it (well, and if it works I guess).

    Oog does a waterpump.

Nobody in my town (Eugene) carries Gates so I ordered it from Rockauto for $32ish. Don't really want to spend the $130 for the Lisle set of pneumatic fan wrenches for a one time deal so will be McGyvering something that's 1 7/8" and that I can use my air chisel on. Will hit pawn shops...

    Oog does a waterpump.

Timely post. Thanks Oog! Mine appears to be on its way out with a pretty steady drip coming from where the weep hole should be. I'll check the Gates prices...$102 direct from Ford.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Not today exactly, but last weekend: Finally replaced (at 200k miles) the original IP & injectors that I picked up from that Uhaul sale from what? A couple of years ago? Picked up a return line kit from Oregon Fuel Injection in town as we did it kind of last minute. Didn't realize the...

I've got my own 99 won't start problem now.

Thanks for that tip ;Sweet I put it on with a zip tie, was admiring my handywork with a flashlight (actually making sure it was tight :D) and saw the nut on the bottom of the valley pan. I dug around in there earlier but couldn't find it. Must have knocked it loose in my initial digging. I...

Hey all, Don't post much up here unless I'm working on Rose's truck...here I am again :D Went through donnie4720's post below and got some good info. I didn't want to pollute his thread with my own stuff so started a new thread. Truck: 99 F350, crew cab dually, 4x2. 255k on it...

    Engine compartment relay question

I'll take a look tomorrow after work & see if I have power to the rear trailer plug with these removed. If that is them, there's something wonky going on...shouldn't be pulling 350 mils when there's nothing plugged in to the trailer plug. Thanks! ;Sweet

    Engine compartment relay question

Hey all, Working on Rose's truck (99 F350 Powerstroke, crew cab dually) to sell it. I was up in this forum a few years ago trying to figure out a weird draw issue when parked that would kill her batteries after just a week or two of sitting. It was always pulling 350 mA. It's still doing...

$240? Mine was $265 shipped -cuss :rotflmao The first one I had in the cart was under $200 I think. Ended up searching on Evilbay for the correct part # for my 93 with auto tranny & it was a fair bit more, but still about 1/2 the price of a rebuilt one in town from Oregon Fuel Injection...

Frank emailed me today that he'd joined up here (I told him that this site ordered a bunch of parts from him). He didn't say what his username was but I'd bet it's him & he's legit.

    Uhaultruckparts.com on sale

We'll see if they actually have the parts in stock to fulfill the orders. I just ordered an ip & 8 injectors. Found the correct part # on their ebay site (for the pump), hopefully got the right injectors as I couldn't find them listed. Worst case I sell the injectors to somebody who can use...

Best way to install a 7 blade RV plug?

I picked up a 7 pin factory Ford RV plug from a pick-n-pull (off of an F150). There are 2 harnesses off of the back that plugged directly into existing plugs at the rear of my pickup. My brake controller plugs directly into the factory harness under the dash. I have adapters for 6 pin, 5 pin...

Anybody near Sidney OH who can check out a rig?

OK, I sent her your info Dieselgiant. An hour drive each way is quite a bit....I told her to do some googling on diesel shops in the area that could give it a once-over too. We'll see what shakes out. Thanks towtruckdave & dieselgiant! Mike

Anybody near Sidney OH who can check out a rig?

My sister is looking at this van/bus thing: http://dayton.craigslist.org/rvs/1684482050.html Is there anybody over in that area that could check it out for her? Any recommendations of places she could take it to over there for a checkup? She's thinking about packing the kids & hubby in it...

A "new" VW diesel gets added to diesel family

Cool beans! Parts must still be available or do you have spare heads & such? My little brother had one of that vintage back in high school. Great mileage but man, what a dog power wise. How do those old-school diesels stand up to adding turbos to them?

    Lori gets a Diesel!

I've been keeping a bit of any eye out for a smoking deal like that on my local CL. Don't really have the $ for it right this moment but would probably figure something out if I found one under $4k. I'd prefer the manual tranny too, Golf or Jetta, not a Beetle. Congrats on the new ride!
