I hear good things about the allison, but what I really want is a good old m22 muncie or maybe a 5-speed manual---I'm 55 years old and so far only had 1 automatic in my life and didn't like it!!! Jerry- harley152

Wow---lets see---cummins is around 1100lbs of iron and too long and too tall to do the job----I can't believe the little Dmax with aluminum heads and about the size of a bb chevy motor can weigh 1000 lbs. I thought the old 454 with iron heads was around 600 lbs---correct me if I'm wrong. Jerry- harley152

Ok, how much does a Dmax motor weigh???? I have found a fair deal on a '63 plymouth former drag car, less motor(not too many 413's around any more), and was thinking of a one of a kind street sleeper---I know the cummins is way too heavy for the front end(and too tall and long). I don't know...- harley152

The Bilsteins are the best available for the dodge 4X4 trucks and you can get a "group purchase" special price from Offroad Warehouse if you join the TDR--or maybe if you just tell them you're a member cause they didn't ask when I bought mine- harley152

How well does the 6BT or ISB motors run on bio diesel?
I ran 2 tankfulls in Utah last year, back to back while on a pretty much cross country trip pulling my 28' tag-a-long travel trailer and had no problems save for 2 fuel filters and loosing about 1.2-1.5 mpg---smoother idle, great smelling exhaust,hardly noticible loss of power(but loss of power...- harley152

My Next New Truck
yup---my last GM truck was my last GM anything!!! Likewise, my last ford truck was my last FORD anything(shoulda got the heated tailgate option)!! Like my last BSA motorcycle---I'm pretty sure I pushed it farther than I rode it!!!! Jerry- harley152
