With my 93 dually it has 4.10 and originally a close ratio transmission. Did not work good for heavy pulling. At the time believe when I looked into different rear gears was told 4.10s was could get not 4.56 in a F350. So ended up using a wide ratio trans out of a 4x4 and regeared mine. Has a...
After market chip in it? Mine was doing strange like shutting off going down the road ended up being a bad chip , put things bac to stock no more problems. Hate problems like that.
That is a lot of good information to have. I find it interesting on internal changes done to the engine the crankshaft was not one of them. Has always been my claim , externally balanced .
I have a 93 7.3 factory turbo. Have put 75 k on it never have had a headgsaket problem. IMO unless you are trying for a lot of boost and power , stock is fine. If one was pulling heads checking bearing and all I would think about reringing if cyls are good,
Although it has been a while since needed to install one, use to do it all the time when was rebuilding engines. I alway use to fill the groove with JB weld , let it dry then sand down. then install the sleeve.
93 was the first year with a factory turbo. It it is a IDIT engine it will be stamped with a T on the flat area just to the right of the IP gear housing also he oil port in the back will be 1/4 not 1/8, but that could of been drill larger anyhow. It a turbo engine it will be jst fine without...

Most people didn't ,but when installing the manifold you did not tighten down the heads until after the manifold was tightened to the heads then the whole until was torqued.
Like many auto parts the are only a few manufactures of different parts that get repacked for different suppliers. Even Ford parts are not make by Ford but rather to their specs. So buy from a repuable pars store and you should be fine.
Back in he day when did engine rebuilding had a large flat file would run across he top of a block to insure all gasket maerial and such was removed, Never had any problems with sealing.
