    Glow plug controller cover

    I had some time today when it wasn't raining or snowing and pulled the first glowplug on the right side looking at the engine. It was a Bosch brand. Tested bad with a test light Not swollen. I noticed that after replacing just this one plug the wait to start light stayed on longer than it ever...

    7.3 return line

    What is the purpose of the return line from the filter housing to the number 1 injector? A lot of people are plugging the filter housing and using a deadend cap at number 1. I'm not understanding why it's there. It's another source of air intrusion with it in place.

    Belt tensioner

    The belt tensioner on my 92 7.3 has the open spring design. It looks like a replacement. It bounces as the belt turns. Is this normal ? Tension on the belt is fine.

    Another glow plug question

    I am contemplating the use of a simple relay and switch to control the glow plugs. How long does a set of Motorcraft glow plugs last on the original controller? How much additional life would you see using the manual switch? We are talking about a 92 7.3 IDI to be clear.

    Return line kit

    After I install the return line kit what is the best way to get all the air out of the system? Crack each injector nut one at a time ? Uncertain about this. I've never done it.

    Air cleaner gaskets..7.3

    I need the gasket/washer that goes under the air cleaner bolt and the big washer that fits in a groove on the bottom of the air cleaner and seals the air cleaner to the manifold. Any suggestions?

    I just bought this 92 7.3 F350. It runs well but needs some tlc. I need to replace return lines and have sent a message to typ4. Where is the best place to get rebuilt injectors? New Bosch injectors here are $40. Do the rebuilt one perform as well? This is my first diesel truck. Truck shows...
