Zf5 4x4 swap on 88 C6 4X4
Well yall it is done!:peeloutZf swap is complete! Everything went very smooth. Used C6 crossmember, driveshafts, etc. Got around 10-12 hours off and on in it. Used the brick transfer case also. I'm super happy! Now if anyone needs a C6 or a BW1356 transfer case I've got em both! Gonna post them...- Josh king

I was looking at that today while pilfering around at work. I don't believe the 92 does...gonna take a look this evening when I get home to make sure. I'm 90% sure I'll have to use the brick but that's OK because I know that everything is OK with it- Josh king

Hey guys, Sorry to be starting a new thread in this subject but I'm not the best navigator on here lol I recently aquired a fairly rare bird that I'm working on. 88 F350 CC dually 4X4 with the 7.3 138,000 original miles and a C6 trans. Love this beast!! Hate the C6...I also acquired a 92 7.3...- Josh king

Yea it was bitter sweet I must say. There was so much I wanted to do to her...turbo, zf5, 8 inch stacks...there are definitely plenty idi's here in TN so maybe I'll find one again soon. A farmer bought her to put a dump bed on so I know she ain't being junked like some prick in Georgia told me...- Josh king

Well guys I hate to say it but the Ole idi pissed me off for the last time...just sold the girl for $1500. Dang I hated to see her go but the wife sure didn't mind at all lol now maybe another idi or a cummins...lord help me lmao! Thanks for all your help!- Josh king

So I've had the weekend to work on the truck. Replaced the lifters, pushrods and double checked each rocker arm assembly twice. The noise is still there. Sounds like it's in the passenger rear but not 100 % sure. I pulled the Injectors after some excessive reading and youtubing. Couple injectors...- Josh king

That sounds like a good idea to me. I've been so frustrated with her That my common sense has momentarily left me for whiskey lol we have a BAD weather front coming our way today so I might just bring the heads into my CB room and start cleaning. Worth a shot- Josh king

That's where I'm at right now as well. I pulled glow plugs out and shot about 100 psi into the motor and all I managed to do on cylinders 1, 5 and 7 was turn motor over...old heads are off and laying on flatbed. I've pulled couple valves out for S and G. They look good.- Josh king
