Yeh thats kinda why im thinking of holding off on the 12v swap cause of the cost of another trans. Also the fab work isnt a issue except for how long it would take to get it all in. I run a small excavation company and kinda need the truck to work within the next month or so.
I am now thinking about just throwing a ATS turbo kit and get the fuel system right. The truck will be towing 10k max, i just hope the e4 holds up for awhile.
O yeh i saw that yukon sells 3.31 or 3.54s. I still think im pretty well determined to have a heavier trans in place. I had a old 1 ton Ram with a 12v and it ate up nv4500s and it was mildly turned up.
I was pretty surprised myself with the axle ratio. Door tag says 73 which means 5.13 i guess. I was always under the impression that the actual cab was the same in the f-series, just the hoods were different.
As title states I have a 95 f800 thats pretty well rotted out from snow removal and i wanna throw the drivetrain into my newly purchased F-Super Duty.
