title says it all. I'm looking at buying a 1985 6.9 that has a Titaniuum Fass Fuel System in it. I'll be more than a little interested in this truck if I can use my WMO setup with it. But I'm wondering if the thicker fuel will wreak havoc with the upgraded fuel system? Any thoughts?
Hi guys, its been awhile. And thanks in advance for your help.
The truck has been running great. then all of the sudden, about a mile after leaving the house... it just shuts off. Doesnt sputter, or chug, or puff smoke or anything like that. it just turned off like i turned the key off or...
Does anyone know what the difference between a zd-9 and a zd-11 glow plug is? I am aware that the 11 is supposed to be for the PSD and the 9 is for IDIs. But what is the physical difference?
What I want is an actual 12 volt GP that uses the bullet style harness not the spade. But i can't seem...
New(reman)BB injectors, bad smoke, need advice
I hate to beat a dead horse with another "smoke" thread but I read for hours and couldn't find the answers I'm lookin for
I replaced some nasty, off brand injectors with new BB injectors about three months ago. I also installed a new return line...
So I started getting a noticeable vibration when I'd drive between 55 and 65. I checked the pinion nut and it was loose. I tightened it up and it got better but didn't go away. I read you're supposed change the crush sleeve when you do that. So I opened it back up put in a new bearing, new crush...
So I towed my 1979 bumper pull camper this weekend. It's 27' long and weights approximately 5500lbs. When I got to my destination I realized I'd cracked the fuel line that feeds the fuel filter. Fuel everywhere! So I fixed it and then started noticing things.... On my trip down, smoke was at a...
The CDR system seems to be a subject of constant debate around here. :popcorn
I have a question about it that I have not seen yet. Perhaps because it's a real bad idea.
The CDR seems to simply move oil and oil vapor to another spot. It just so happens to be the intake so you can at least...
Well I was goofin around with the fuel lines between the injectors, lookin for signs of wear or cracks. Then I busted the barbed nipple off an injector return cap:Knob
So I called around, and only the Ford dealer will sell me a single cap. But they want to sell me $30 in o-rings! So I pulled...
MODS: please move this to the pics and videos thread if you see fit. But as I pertains only to WMO I made my best guess putting it here
When I first started cleaning my own oil, all I wanted was to see how other people are doing it. It helped me to pick and chose what I liked and wanted to...
I know that it has been done. In fact I've read a few posts on how well they work and the dangers involved.
I'm curious as to how one would go about wiring a 120v water heater element to the thermostat and then into an extension cord. I'm no electrician by any stretch of the imagination but...
I've got the banks sidewinder turbo kit with the ram air piping. It seems like the air intake is awfully narrow. I've been wondering if I should get rid of all the piping and just put the filter directly on to the intake port. Would this get me better air flow or would I be sacrificing precious...
Hi y'all's. Name is Jack. Helena Montana is home for me. I'm new to WMO and IDI but not to diesels overall. Just bought me a 1991 f-250 7.3. It's got a Banks Sidewinder turbo and air intake. WMO cleaning setup came with it including 5 drums of clean oil, 5 micron and 1 micron bag filters, a...
As this is my first post, I'd like to thank everyone for all the helpful ideas and recommendations I've read on this forum so far. I'm new to wmo and idi both. Just bought a 1991 f-250 7.3 with the banks sidewinder setup this week and have started cleaning some oil last night. I'm using a...
