Which injectors? 1989 7.3 IDI Na.
I just did an engine swap from 84/6.9 to 89/7.3 NA. IDI. Questions are #1 [should I get "BB" Code Injectors or something else?] Question #2[ What is so special about "BB" injectors? spray pattern or Nozzel Opening Pressure or what? ] guy told me that #8 cyl had a different code like a "B"...- mufflerbearing

7.3 idi has me stumped help please
sounds like fuel But if it's not fuel then glow plugs and if it's not glow plugs then maybe its low compression how did you check your glow plugs? did you pull them out and look at the end of them? I checked mine by testing continuity but when I pulled them out and looked at them some had...- mufflerbearing

power boost
might be your AC compressor clutch [if you have one] kicking on or off, but i don't think so. it could be your high idle solinoid? it is supposed to kick off at 160 degrees I think. also it could be your injector pump governer if it has a lot of miles on it. maybe you could add some Stanadyne...- mufflerbearing

help with low\no oil pressure!
oil pressure on my 7.3 mechanical gauge reads about 11-14 psi when hot at idle. And 40-41 psi when cold at idle.- mufflerbearing
