    New injectors arrived. Advice?

    I've been using Parts Unlimited polyurethane clear blue fuel line and spring clips on my return lines for 5-7 years with no problems. When it was new, it is translucent so you could see air in it. Now it is brown and opaque, but still flexible and not leaking.

    Batteries,,,,

    Rock Auto has group 65 agm batteries. Deka 9A65 shipped to CO with tax is about $200. ACDelco 65agmrc is about $30 less. The Deck weighs a few pounds more than the ACDelco, so probably has more lead in it.

    Random ploofs of smoke

    I get a lot of smoke when going uphill and accelerating after loafing along on the flat. I assume that it is just oil accumulating on top of the head and then running to the back and down the valve guides when I go uphill.

    Rear Brake Randomly Dragging

    I've had out of round brake drums that stick and grab. To check it, I took it off, mounted back on the hub backwards and put a dial indicator on it to check run out while turning it. Just had some surging on a dump truck drum that was only 0.014" out of round. A new drum fixed it.

    Also, I noticed that the smoke is more evident when the sun is behind me rather than in front. I don't think the position of solar bodies affect the smoke, just how the smoke is lit up and visible. If your truck smokes a lot until it is warmed up, maybe it is some bad glow plugs?

    I put in bucket seats from a '96 or '97 f250 in my '93 that had a bench seat. I had to weld up some brackets to adapt them to fit to the same bolt holes.

    I think I've got group 31 Sears Diehard platinums in mine, but I put them in 7 years ago and would have to go out to check. I think the Diehard Platinums were made by Odyssey? They might have been about $160 each back then, but I was tired of buying batteries every few years....
