Right on thanks. I'll keep my eye out. I need an exhaust put on and a egt gauge first, then I'll tackle my intake. I would love a pic of your set up, if you can, I know it's a pain so if you don't feel like it, it's cool.
If you need a new one....I just bought one, worked well.

I went though jegs, one of the sales guys got to talk to someone from banks, the gut told me that I had the right one but, it didn't fit. Maybe it is me, but I couldn't get it to fit.
I was in the same situation with my old powerstroke. I too am a novice who is a cheap as the day is long. My shop wanted 1800.00 for the job. In the end I did the job, it was a pain, but I learned a lot. I also had a shop press the ball joints.
Good luck
The shop didn't bother to tighten up the bolt that holds the 4x4 shift lever to the linkage. Problem one. Problem two, what madpougue said the thingy needs lube or cut off the pin. This weekend I try to pull it off and massage it.
As for the ticking I didn't get a chance to pull the...
No, I didn't, but thanks for responding. I'm glad to hear that all is good. No noise when I have my foot on the pedal.
On a side note. My gear pattern on my shift knob is upside down, and I can't get my truck in 4 low.
I finally got my new southbend clutch in. I ended up getting a shop to do it. When it is at idle I hear a tick that is the same as idle speed with the truck in neutral and my foot off the clutch pedal.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Does anyone have any experience with using this dorman part....mine broke and if my weld breaks, then I'll need one.
