Have you checked the fuel pump inertia switch. It is located behind the right side kick panel or under the dash just to the right of the transmission tunnel. Power is routed from the fuel pump relay through the inertia switch to the tank selector switch and then to the pump.
I believe that the speedometer gets its signal from the RABS (rear antilock brake system) module which receives its speed signal from the sensor on the rear axle.
Have you tried "www.iatn.net". Used to be a real good source of information for repairs. Closed my shop and got out of the repair business a few years ago. Always found good information related to problems I had.
There should be a steel lever bolted to the bottom of the shift tube at the base of the steering column. It is held on with two small machine screws and are bad to loosen up. I usually put them back with a dose of blue loctite. I think they are a number 30 star bit.
it is a two connector into the solenoid that is on the top of the column near the base where the shift cable connects. when you switch the engine off you have to have the key off but not locked provided the solenoid is not sticking. there is no power with the switch off to engage the lock. it...
l think all that is required is to unplug the solenoid. it has been a while so l am not sure. try switching the engine off but not all the way to lock and leave switch in off and it should shift out of park to neutral where you can restart.
on your master cylinder there is a switch under the reservoir that you can disconnect. it will turn on the brake light on the dash and shut down the rabs.
I may be wrong but it looks like the relay is mounted with the terminals mounted facing up. In my experience this allows water to enter the relay which will cause you problems. Usually causes corrosion of the contacts but occasionally causes the relay to stick on.
I don't know if you could turn it down low enough, you might have to build a metering valve to cut the flow down low enough to be used. I usually did not use a 300 series mixer on anything larger than a 351 but the 6.9 is not usually run in the rpm range of the 351. There is two 300 series...
All that I have ever had to replace were a part of the turn signal switch and not available separately here in the us. You might try rock auto, I wouldn't think that the turn signal switch would be that high.
Make sure your ignition switch returns all the way back to the run position. If it comes from start part way back to run the wipers, heater fan, turn signals, and some of the other accessories will not work.

Sorry about taking so long, but they were not on my old truck. Finally found them, I have 4 of them. I had them on a 1974 Dodge 100 1/2 ton 2wd truck. Do these look like what you are looking for?
I have taken a nut that fits the glow plug, cut it in halve and put around the gp and use a box end wrench to hold it and and unscrew the plug. works like the high priced tool recommended early.
I believe the first one on the passenger side (cyl # 1) has a piece screwed on on top of the injector that the injector line then screws onto that is used for generating a signal for timing the pump.
