Thanks for all the comments. I will def check out the oil cooler. Be nice if thats what it is. Nice and simple. Eudora is about 25miles west of KC off of highway 10 (K10).
Yea agreed. I like doin things right the first time. If you pull the engine might as well check the bottom end too. Yea headstuds would be a must. Are there complete rebuild kits for these motors? If the truck is in really good shape i might pop on it and save it for another project. I hate...
Well he said it aint locked up and he would always check the oil before driving and saw the coolant in the oil so thats when he parked. he said he drained the oil though. I am very mechanically inclined. Im a mechanic at a cycle dealership and I work on all my cars and trucks. But lets say just...
I have the opportunity to buy this truck cheap. Supposedly has bad headgaskets. Its been sitting for a few yrs. Rust above the rear wheel wells as normal. I havnt looked at the truck yet. Has a 4speed. This guy is the original owner. I dont know if its just a blown head gasket or could be...
I'd love to have a 6x6! Ultimate wood cutting rig. My dad was in the army reserve in the 70's and he worked on the multifuel trucks. Hes been wanting one of these trucks to tinker with. Parts easy to get for these military trucks still??
Yea never heard of the yukon brand. Might have to do some more research. I'd rather buy a product I KNOW has been used and there are tons of dynatracs out there.
Does that fit the C6's?? My cousin is doin a cummins swap in his 88 Centurion that has a C6. Would you happen to have an adapter plate that fits the C6 or know where we can get one cheap?
My dads ole 77 F250 High Boy. I now own it. It had a 7' Western (cable operated of course) That truck and plow has done ALOT of snow removal. I took the snow plow stuff off it but wish I didnt. I could still put it all back on but I know I would probably break somethin and its still got the...
Looks like a great project! Def post pics of yer build. One of these days I will restore my 77 Highboy that my dad bought new and special ordered. I will never get rid of that truck.
Now i have heard differently. Everyone I talked to said get a chip since they are more customizable. Im stuck between TW's chip or DP's chip. I've heard more people say go for the DP chip.
Looking for a windage tray for a Mustang 390 that bolts to the main caps and NOT the oil pan bolts. Want to try and not have to use 2 pan gaskets on a windage tray if we dont have to. Havnt had any luck finding one obviously. Any help on this would be great. Point me in some direction! :D
Congrats! Yea its not a truck but still a sweet Ford! Post some pics when the deal works out. I love Mustangs! We have 4 in our fam. I have a 96 cobra, my dad has a 69 Boss 429, My bro has a 67 390GT coupe and a 95 GT Convertible. I'd love to have a new Boss 302!
Congrats on the new truck! You will love it. You will notice a big diff if you do the exhaust (straight pipe if your state allows it) and DIY intake using the donaldson open element airfilter. I havnt gotten around to doin the 10k mod but hope to soon. Heard great things about it.
I like it! Be even better if it was a 4x4. I HAVE to have a 4x4. The paint is a lil too flashy to me but I would deal with it haha. Would be a cool truck for a limo service but would have to charge lots to pay for the fuel and stuff. The interior is sick! The stacks are sweet, i'd love to hear...
