First the glo plugs. I use only the Motorcraft Beru plugs. shots secret diesel extreme? I'm not sure i've seen that one. I did use some Diesel kleen, 1 bottle for the full or almost full tank. When you say a strong dose, are you saying more than 1 bottle like 2 or 3 or more?
I have a 1987 F250 N/A 6.9. This truck is my DD and i'm having problems starting her the first time of the day. It can be in the morning or evening she just won't start right off. I can plug her in and she starts fine. I replaced all 8 glo plugs but the second day it's back to the same thing...
I have an electric pump under the cab but still I'm looseing the fuel and can only guess it's going back to the tank. None leaking onto the floor and the fittings all seem dry. I like Franklins link. If I can't figure out something pretty soon I'm tempted to get those selnoids.
I was thinking something like a water line one way valve. I can't find any wet spots but it seems I"m looseing my prime somewhere. REplaced the return lines, all of them including the clamps. I'm wondering if these clamps might be a problem. I could understand if the hose was old and hard but...
Does anybody know if there is a one way valve made for our trucks fuel system to stop air intrusion? It seems to me it would be a good idea to be able to stop the fuel from draining back to the fuel tank.
Ok, figured out the problem. Got some vegoil into the pump and that was the problem. Used a hair dryer to heat up the IP and she started right up. Ran great. Mystery solved. Thanks guys.
Ok, update time. I unplugged the #4 injector line from the pump and removed the injector. I had it turning over to see if it was popping the injector. Nothing was happening. Removed the injector and after numerous cycles didn't get any tuel out of the line. Trying to figure out what to do next.
It's cranking over fast enough I believe. 2 new batteries and a gear reduction starter less than a month old. Also had the block heater plugged in and the temp was about 120
I'll check it out first thing in the morning. The ignition switch that is. I adjusted it yesterday after having issues with turning the key and nothing happenine. Adjusted the switch farther down the steering column and the key worked great, I thought. Might have adjusted it to far one way or...
I have a 1987 F250 Diesel with a 6.9 n/a Diesel. I just replaced all the injectors and IP. Ran it for a few days now it won't start. Found it had air intrusion and fixed that. I have fuel to the injectors and I know that for a fact because I loosened the caps on top of the injectors and now have...
I replaced the Injection Pump on my truck a 1987 F250 with a 6.9 N/A Diesel. I put the timing mark on the new IP at the same place as the one I pulled off. I didn't put it on the mark on the gear cover, slightely to the drivers side. Ever since it seems like there is always a rattle I almost...
OPTIKALILLUSHUN: What year Tauarus fans and what year lincoln fans? I called a few yards and they wouldn't give me any prices without the years. I ended up saying 96. There is a differance between the 95 and 96 fan setup or so they say.
