I have done a few of those. The seal is a carbon seal if it is original and Will need to be upgraded when rebuilt. Sometimes takes a few extra parts to do.
Im putting an E4OD in the dually with an aftermarket controller. Going to update the trans before it goes in.
Its a ford reman for a PS . It will be interesting to see what updates are in it from the reman. Im guessing none.
I like the parallel cooler idea.
it would help if you had a picture of the turbo and the year of the truck and then you knew what series your turbo was, if it's the 088 you sir are SOL, nobody has that part anymore.
When I did my trucks, my AC guy said all the replacement condensers are upgraded to work with 134. Your problem is your fan is not pulling air across the condenser at idle. Both of my trucks do the exact same thing. If I put a lock plate across the fan bolts to the pulley bolts it cools great.
DDA has /had one of the biggest foundries for engine manufacturing, so its plausible they made many parts for the 6.2-6.5
The engine would have been fine except the mainline cracked at stock power let alone modded levels. The late blocks used by the hummer folks are much stronger.

The gm engine was not BUILT be detroit, they helped with the design. An engineer at carol stream DDA filled me in on this and he said wiki is so wrong on most counts.LOL
I have 2 on the shelf and im picking up 5 more this week.
Pretty sure I told you I was out of stock.
I always have access, it just takes some time to get them processed.
The GM corporate 14-bolt is the strongest 8 lug axle out there bar none.
and again I'm sure pretty soon someone will chime in and argue with me just because I don't know anything.

I use dupli color engine enamel. clean with acetone or laquer thinner, 2- 3 coats over a warm day.
The other option would be epoxy primer. Expensive but works the best.
Napa commercial has a single part epoxy that we did a water truck tank with, seems to be holding up good.
I've got a seven 3 here at the house that's all tore apart under my bench you need to come and look at it and see if you want it it will be reasonably priced.
So if you're not running a filter inside the engine compartment I would definitely incorporate a fitting at the top somewhere of the engine with an orifice in it returning to the return block at the back of the engine or the return line wherever you don't want that excess to go through the...
clean all the antifreeze residue off of it and after you get the hose pushed on it squirt some ultra RTV under there and that will anchor it to the radiator and it won't flex and break off.
Off roader trick from long ago.
I don't know if I posted this in here but as you know February 26th I made a haul ass trip to Wisconsin to be with our daughter before she passed. Before that I was under my truck fixing my pinion seal leak and putting in the crush sleeve eliminator kit, in the middle of that found a crack in...
You guys know that there are 2 fuel pump mounting shapes, ours ,which is 99% of all american carbed vehicles.
Then a vertical one used on the Ford M series engines. And very few others...
Use steel hydraulic fittings. It's a pain in the ass to get cheap China stainless steel fittings to not leak. I have a five gallon bucket full of them that I'm going to scrap because they will not seal.
