    IP tag info?

That's a 7.3 pump. 88-91. 185 hp. I had that one in my 91 f350. Yeah that crooked tag is suspect. I thought remans got black tags, or is that just from Stanadyne.

6.9 injection pump install - no start

Pull the fuel filter off and make sure its full. Make sure the electrical connections to the pump are good, like the fuel shutoff. You can also try putting a clear hose between the lift pump and filter head and see what kind of flow you have. Not getting fuel, so check from the ip back to the...

    Windshield sealant

That's contact cement. It's awesome for rubber weatherstripping. You need to apply to both the surfaces, and once it's together, it's not moving.

    Windshield sealant

Clear 100% silicone in the calk tube. Home depot or wherever. Just wear nitrile gloves so you can push it into the crevice without getting it all over your hand. You can apply that stuff underwater.

    Injectors or timing?

Make sure the hard line is shiny clean. You don't want any paint or rust on it. And like Bronco said, the ground needs to be good. I have the same meter and it was wonky at first, so I went over all the connections till it was right. And the probe needs to be close, and the groove on the...

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

That's right with the leaking. My valve is leaking, or always wet where the wires exit the valve. Going with the brass fitting setup when I get the time. I'm just going to replace the one line that with the large nut on it to the 3/8x24(?) so they are both the same. Mount it, then I'm done.

    Road trip time

So I made it. 13 and a half hours. the truck sounded better as thr trip went on. I kept kt at 65 most of the way. I had a scare about 2 hours in. I just got in to Delaware and a truck driver was beeping at me. I'm like that can't be good. I pulled over and found that I was driving on the rim...

    Road trip time

Well, time to roll out.Just as a precaution, I put the truck in my friend's shop yesterday and put on new front rotors. I knew the old one's were glazed and pitted. I think I got closer to a ton in back than 1000 lbs.Have about 12 hours to drive. Hopefully all goes well.

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

Nice write up. I will bookmark this one for when I have the time to fix mine. Which is soon. I was looking at mine and it seemed wet where the wires go into the unit itself. Any way brake fluid can get through o the wiring?

    RABS delete?

you are right. the 1/2x20 inverted flare fitting in unavailable. I was just thinking of taking the whole line off, cutting off the 1/2 inch fitting, and putting a 3/8 on. My napa guy said he would flare it for me.

Goat, I need to take the stuff anyway. The movers are only taking a few things from the garage, but I have to take most of the heavy stuff. I'm actually having the movers take the tool chests. They are to big and heavy for me to take with everything else.

That is for sure. And having no AC, the window is down the whole time with the fly window out. I was thinking of the foam earplugs for real. I do it on the motorcycle for wind noise. I'm just not looking towards the run from anywhere in Delaware thru Quantico. The traffic sucks. Baltimore and DC...

    "Good" 92-97 Headlights

I didn't even bother when I changed my headlights. I just added the led lightbar and fog lights. I know they are obnoxious but I can see when I drive at night now. I put in an aftermarket grill and have the bar mounted behind it.

    Road trip time

Well the time has come for the one way trip to S. Carolina. From Jersey to Myrtle beach area is approx 600 miles, and I 'm looking at two, maybe 3 fuel stops. I'll have about 1000lbs of tools and whatnot in the bed and cap, and I'll be pulling the Harley with a few assorted jacks, spare trailer...

    RABS delete?

So I went to do this delete today. The napa guy I know well, and we went over the parts needed to do the delete. So both brake lines are 3/16, but the nut from the master is 1/2 inch. The master is the left side. Brian from napa showed me that a 1/2 x20 would fit the 90, but the brake line size...

    A Post I Don't Want To Make

Instead of measuring for piston stroke first, try and see if you get any leakage at the valves. Pull the valve cover , pull #8 rockers. This way you know the valves are closed. The glow plug is already out, so take an air nozzle with a rubber tip and put it to the glow plug hole. It might be...

    A Post I Don't Want To Make

If the glow plug tip came off on 8, it could have damaged the valve seats. It's not closing up all the way at tdc. Could be the reason for the popping and unburnt fuel. It sucks but you should try to find some one to help you pull the head. I did both by myself with a cherrypicker. It's worth...
