i believe all the glow plugs should be reading less than 1 ohm, therefore all of your glow plugs are bad. i recommend you replace them with Ford Motorcraft ZD-9 glow plugs, they are the best ones you can get and you can find them online.
depending on how long you were having the plugs glow with...
i would also recommend moding the filter head by replacing the fuel heater with a brass plug, the filter head is the highest point in the fuel system, therefore air will always collect there. the fuel heater may not be leaking but it is still helpfull to do
@Farmer Rock it looks like it has f-150 fender badges, i could be wrong cause its tough to tell from that far away. i also think it is 165k, not 65k because you shouldnt need a new IP until 125k. it could have been a beat to crap farm truck and they guy bought it and put a "rust free from the...
@Farmer Rock it looks good and it has a turbo so i think the price is pretty spot on but my question is why does he want to sell it if it has a freshly rebuilt turbo and a fresh inspection i think that is a 085 turbo kit, could be wrong, but it might not drive that well depending on when it...
@hacked89 if they can find a f-350 for a recovery vehicle that would be ideal, underengined overaxled. engine that can just chug along with stong axles that arent likely to break.
go out to your truck when its cold and press down the throttle pedal. it should click in and sit a little bit lower than did before you pressed it. start the truck and it should be on fast idle. turn the truck off and the peddle should raise back up a bit. that means that the fast idle solinoid...
if i would put together a setup, i would try to find filter heads that use a readily available filter so you can stop at any truck shop and they most likely have one in stock. me personally i hate the IDI filter head because the design changed and there are a couple different filters it is...
@Clb is it possible to take a holley pump, a WS and a fuel filter, bolt them together plumb in the fuel hose and have a reliable e pump with good filtration that will supply a good psi to a big IP and preferably under the price of justins setup
@Clb the system that justin sells has a holley red pump with pre filter/water separator and a 3 micron filter. i have my doubts that a holley red will have enough psi for a bigger ip

i went to vo tech school for being a Diesel Mechanic. they told us that if a truck gets pulled over to get a DOT check done that is the only time they check your tanks. so if you own your pickup truck, which doesnt have a DOT number on it, i dont think they can check your tanks
@The_Josh_Bear i know there are forums out there with the info. what i mean is has anyone made a double filter set up with good pump (holley, walbro, etc) and has had good long term results with it. pretty much anyone can go to napa get some filters, bolt the filter heads together slap on an e...
@Clb @IDIoit so why did everyone used to like them and have them on their trucks and now everyone hates them. like what happened that made people change their minds about the pumps?
we got 8-9 inches at my house. snowblower make quick work of it. i think it would be cool to swap a yanmar clone diesel onto a snowblower, but my dad would probably be mad if i did it on our snowblower
@1992 idi 73 i also have a wreath on my truck.
i didnt do anything with my truck today, i tarped the windshield but thats it. i got the snowblower ready because we are having a snow storm today into tommorow
@Cubey my driving is stop and go and some highway. i know at 65-70 it is pretty high rpms cause i have 4:10 gears. i want to do 3:55 gears so that i can cruise at 65-70 at a lower rpm so i can get better all around mpgs.
