    factory turbo trans dipsticks are different from the NA version. PSD ones can be made to work.

    only thing that CAN get damaged from water dunking on the engine is the injection pump. a hot aluminum pump getting dunked into cold water or even splashed good with water can cause it to warp, causing heatsoak issues.

    I have had water up to the valve covers on my wheeler. Very wet arse. Inside the cab it was just touching the steering column where it goes through the firewall.

    i clamped all mine and i was glad i did. i dud not use the u clamps it came with, but 4 inch band clamps. i caught one of my tail pipes and bent it. ordered just the one side tail and had it swapped out in 15 mins.

    on my old 94 i ran a diamond eye kit for a 97 truck. cat back. made an adapter pipe to fit the goofy sized sidwinder downpipe to the 4 inch diamond eye. i ran a dual output system, came out each side under the tail lights. no muffler. sounded perfect.

    the only wires coming off the driverside battery is black ground to engine block, and red to pass side battery. anything else was added on. the driverside battery is the auxillary one. pass side is your primary one.

    my latest one, i didnt cut the pinch weld at all. a hydraulic jaw on a port a power does a wonderful job of just pushing it backwards and folding it around. cant get any pics though, wont be able to see it with it all together.

    the bolt holes you bolt the trans up with. take longer bolts, cut the head off and put a gash in the end so you can turn them in and out with a flathead screwdriver.

    i ran a decent sized aux trans cooler for my power steering in the red dually. the one on the crossmember got damaged. i made new metal lines that routed the fluid to the front of the rad then only had 5 inch long rubber connecting the two.

    you joined in 2010, yet this was your first post?!! congrats! lol i would never drive anything, auto or manual with out an EMERGENCY brake. after having a proportiong valve blow apart leaving me with no brakes, i limped the 2 miles home using just the emergency brake.

    they make adapter plates to convert a floor jack to a trans jack. work decent but not as good as trans jack.

    the 99-04 axles will work, you will end up with the metric lug pattern and have to get creative with track bar, but it is doable. the 05 up coil sprung axles are a damn close to bolt in once the holes are drilled. the track bar and steering links are the only fun parts. it amazes me the price...
