    You mean this spring? I'm guessing it's not an OEM solenoid? put a spacer on the stud, something non-conductive so it sits a bit lower. Fiber gasket material comes to mind.

    I wouldn't doubt that a company would try to buy out a competitor but there are plenty on the market actually, although most are aimed at stationary machinery, not average joe vehicles. These guys make some decent ones...

    Yes, people are getting more lazy by the day, most are even allergic to a grease gun! Although it does safeguard my job My truck will become a daily driver when I'm done fixing it up so I'm aiming to save on consumables in the long run.

    I'd press form the inner core caps so that they have a lip & fill the space with urethane adhesive. Let's say 1/4" of the end of the mesh would be covered.

    Automotive relays are 40amps so unless you're powering something big with it, you can stack a lot onto it. Personally I prefer to screw those inside the dash somewhere so it doesn't see humidity. I use the radio power wire to trigger the ones I use, that way it works on 2 key positions...

    Fair enough, when I encountered burnt spade connectors & wires I just decided to not have all that power snaking through the dash & keep everything easily accessible.
