I bought a set from Mel,they have the red clamps, and the caps are darkblue or black (if I remember correctly), have the offset hose connection, and yes I used vaseline to mount the caps. the hoses are damp, (but way more than I like them to). When I mounted the caps I took care that they...

The first big trip after 13 years.

Hello, I bought my truck in 2005, due to registration issues I was'nt allowed to drive her. In order to keep everything moving and not rotten in place I took a tour trough the remote woods every month. A good week ago I started a bigger tour, the mileage was 8000, and the tanks were full. the...

    opinions on cab lights

Did you see that with the clear ones from LMC and the smoked ones from amazon, you don't have the choice which color bulb you want to use? They are coming with amber LED's. speaking about these lights, how are they holding on over longer times, anyone? Over here (FRANCE) It's illegal to have...

    Fuel tank woes

Are they??? the diesel (normally) has a fuel return that is switched together with the fuel pull off, so that the fuel return drops back in the same tank that you're pulling off.

    Need some help please

function report; It works well, though simple, I fill up the MB tank, and pull a switch which starts the electric fuel pump that pumps in the rear oem tank, (it's actually the first time that I see a fuel needle come up during driving!!! quiet special!) and you stop the pump just before the...

    Need some help please

Well, This is for the moment, who knows if I got some inspiration afterwards, somewhere I heard things like dropping the tanks a liitle bit, just enough to make sure the fillhose has enough drop to get the fuel in without getting you the much dreaded fuel shower :))

    Need some help please

Ok, here's something, to me as a Interim measure I found a side tank from a Mercedes 508 truck, I think I install that on the pass.side, and have the fuel transferred with a electric fuel pump in the oem tanks. Then, when I'm allowed to drive the truck and summer is coming I'll concentrate more...

    Need some help please

Neah, Then I stil haven't the height I need, (still too horizontal), and I can't compromis the strength of the rectangular stock I used, since I calculated the frame to be able to carry 2,5 metric tonnes with a safety of one tonne, and if you see the diameter of the fuel hose used, that's a hole...

    '89 F-350 front tow/pull attachment

Maybe I didn't use the right words, I do like to have some form of trailer ball (like in the rear of the truck) to move a trailer over my terrain where if I have to do that in a regular fashion (at the back of the truck) I can't get there, or only with huge effort (cramp in my neck and all...
