Glad you got something that works. It may be easier to just run off the side tank. The only issue is the fuel gauge. There are gadgets that convert standard fuel senders from one range to a compatible range for your gauge. If you wanted to get really fancy, you could put a float switch in the rear tank like a sump pump so that it would transfer over at a certain level and kick the pump off when it was full. Then it would be practically seamless. Probably more complication than you want but it is an option.

Well, This is for the moment, who knows if I got some inspiration afterwards, somewhere I heard things like dropping the tanks a liitle bit, just enough to make sure the fillhose has enough drop to get the fuel in without getting you the much dreaded fuel shower

function report; It works well, though simple, I fill up the MB tank, and pull a switch which starts the electric fuel pump that pumps in the rear oem tank, (it's actually the first time that I see a fuel needle come up during driving!!! quiet special!) and you stop the pump just before the needle says full. now to invent... something that I can switch to fill up the rear or front oem tank.
Could use something like this.

Or use the standard replacement pollack and wire it to your standard selector switch so you are sure you are on the right gauge when you refilling.
