That’s because the timing cover itself is holding it in place, the gear physically cannot skip a tooth or come off the cam gear with it bolted on. The three bolts are to attach the gear to the drive and minimize thrust force on the pump.
Yes they are special. Run new u joint strap bolts (similar but not the same hardening) and get the install kit from Russ with the stanadyne bolts to install later.

A moose junior is a pretty small pump by today’s standards, it’s at most a 25% bump from a factory turbo spec so you may have no issues with a lower output electric pump, I would go with a Holley red or mr gasket 105p. The mr gasket comes with a regulators that works...

You shouldn’t need to, strength wise the idit and psd crank is very similar and guys are running stock cranks in 1500hp 7.3s, I’ve never seen an IDI crank fail due to torque, always been rods that fail first.
Yeah those are my pumps, the 150 is really only good for low 400s, you’ll need over 300cc to reach your hp goals. You’ll need a custom big bore/big stroke pump to be pushing that kind of fuel.
For just a 110 pump I would just run a single turbo, if you plan on pushing 400-500+ then twins or compounds would be worth the work, but for setups running less than 400hp youre going to need some tiny turbos to have decent response in a twins config.
