    Engine locked up, can hear tuff rattling when I hit the pan.

    Got off the highway this morning and my engine blew out as I was slowing down. When you knock on the bottom of the pan you can hear metal clunking about.     I am having the same wiring issues as you, GPC burnt up and now my FSS wiring doesn't work. Get a manual conversion from wes and do what selhadoor said, and just forget about the 30+ year old wiring. Then hope nothing else goes wrong :frustrate

    So what did you do with your truck today?

    Fixed my cruise control today, turns out it was just the contacts in the button. I took apart the button casing, and put a little screwdriver under the metallic strip to bend into a curve. Seems if the contact isn't "springy" enough it wont connect properly.
