    1987 Crew Cab 2WD Build

I hear you. However at the end of the day I don't care what the policy is. Not with something so obvious. Frankly I would be more accepting if I put it in and it leaked. That is in some ways more acceptable while still being more time consuming. With first appearance being of such poor quality...

    1987 Crew Cab 2WD Build

Core is definitely built this way. To create this bow the force would have left a serious mark, all metal is blemish free. My first email request was declined by Car ID. They stated it's beyond the 30 days. Yet they also mentioned there is a lifetime warranty from champion for a leak free...

    1987 Crew Cab 2WD Build

I purchased this champion aluminum radiator many many months ago. Waiting for the build. I thought today why don't I open her up to track down the tranny cooler fitting size. After opening I thought I was on a psycho trip. The thing looks like you are viewing it in the high sierra. Not...

    1987 Crew Cab 2WD Build

Repainted the top hat and banks oil filler pressure overflow last weekend. I cleaned the old fuel lines by soaking them in vinegar. Red pad scrubbing them. Then sprayed them down blew air through the lines. Followed that by soaking in wd 40. These will eventually be painted military tan. I...

    1987 Crew Cab 2WD Build

With so much going on with my ever evolving project I thought I would share. Please keep in mind my technical experience includes small engine shop class in high school and some VW work in my 20's. However much of that experience was under the oversight of a mechanic friend. I purchased this...

I couldn't find the code anywhere. I appreciate everyone's help. I agree it certainly looks like a probe I just don't know where from. I am still trying to figure what this last guy did. Don't let the picture fool you. It's 3 prong Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    1987 hvac

Not crazy at all! That's what I am thinking...as always..there has got to be a better way. I have thought about attempting to reweld the plastic. There are actually parts that have stapled locking the rim together. In general though my experience is that plastic and fasteners aren't a good...

    1987 hvac

Ok so upon discovery of the mice (and crap, urine, nuts, etc) problem. I pulled the hvac apart. Is it supposed to come apartm Doubtful.. definitely not ideal. However it does have locking tab areas along with a bonded plastic track that aligns the pieces. It's apart as shown. My ideas is to sand...

    Sanding the block

This has definitely provided some piece of mind!speaking of timing is the mirror the best way to find the point without taking the front of the engine off? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Stock tow wiring

After reading th comments and tracing them back he used them to tie in to a 5th wheel in bed connector. However he did it sloppy and the outlet is no good from years of the sun beating the plastic. I'll have to replace that down the road. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Sanding the block

Yeah I went directly from this to attempting to rotate to align timing. I didn't add oil and scratched the cylinder walls [emoji854]. Super cool. Anyway.. thank your for all the feedback! I clean it well before putting the head on. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Sanding the block

I had no intention of sanding the block. Ibwas discouraged from this method by research.. some of which actually did have guys flat sanding. Yes I did research. However, it wasn't as clean as I invisioned and a local engine builder who put my valve springs in encouraged I briefly sand the block...

    Stock tow wiring

I got a color coded schematic that shows these wires correctly identified by pattern. However my bishko doesn't have a lot about this.. This is the brake controller wiring correct? The second one with the twizzler tied combination is for brake? I don't know what the last guy was doing. Did it...

My '93 F-250 IDI Overhaul Thread

Man this sounds a lot like what I am doing with my 87. What pump did you go with? I need to do the steering schtuff as well. Haven't got those parts. What's up with the redhead what's the benefit? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Head tear down

I finally got the engine out and started tear down. I was curious to find out if I was justified in havung purchased a rebuild. This is what I found. Keep in mind I don't know true mileage. I found snapped head studs and coolant in the cylinders on the passenger side. This justifies me having...

    Nuts and Bolts

I would assume a guy with a Ferrari has several more working reliable capable cars sitting around. The this whole project has evolved. If I would have known it would turned in to this, I would have waited for later in life. Hebtruckndeserves a frame off approach. However that's not in the...
