I’m going to need to relocate my coolant over flow for my upcoming turbo kit install.

I was looking at the CDD one but it seems small and has no sight glass or way to see the level. I was reading that 8 gallons of coolant will expand by about 2 quarts. A 4 quart expansion tank would make the most sense to account for any other variance.

If any one has any experience with running the smaller CDD or has come up with a custom set up let me know!

I run the CDD one, and it expands the full volume of it, so when cold there's maybe a 1/4" of fluid at the bottom. I made little L brackets and bolted it to the fan shroud on the drivers side. I can take a picture of it this evening if you like. I've had it on there for a few years now.

I'd like to see that overflow tank. I've never considered that the overflow tank has to be moved with a turbo install, but it makes sense.

A++ for CDD. I've bought parts from them before. Their injector nozzles were great in my 6.9l. They're at the top of my list to eventually install a turbo and head studs on my ol' IDI.

I have their turbo and intercooler kit, the reason for the move is because the air filter ends up where the overflow and washer bottle goes.

You could run clear tubing down the side as a sight glass if you want. Honestly though, I'd just check it the first couple weeks then stop worrying.
