I don't need new front brakes yet, but apparently the 2008 and up E450 rotors are larger/heavier and perhaps more important, have two piston calipers. Sounds like it's a pretty easy all OEM parts bolt on, and all of it fits under the same 16" factory wheels. I'm assuming this would be a bolt on for the 1992-1994.5 IDI 2WD F350s too. Pretty nice brake upgrade as I've always felt like my brakes could be better.

Details here, the pricing is old but i think you could probably do this with RockAuto parts for around $500 which doesn't seem too bad for what I would bet is a pretty nice brake upgrade.

My '97 E350 and '95 F350 had dual piston calipers. These are the bolt-on style, vs the wedge system used for 94-older. This older style isnt upgradable without a knuckle change.

Hydroboost makes a big difference though.

Thanks for pointing out my IDi assumption was wrong. I forgot about the older “wedge” style calipers: nice catch!
