Holy crap! I think I just had an epiphany! This started to get worse when I pulled th front tank to swap the sensing unit out and the selector valve. I had issues after doing that job but not with long cranks but with the front tank showing a filter restriction. Last week I pulled the tank again and found the pickup had disintegrated and I replaced it. I then found a piece of black plastic in the line going to the selector valve. It was so lodged I had to pout 150psi on the line to clear it.
what do you want to be down plastic got I to the low pressure side of the mech pump and messed up its ability to pull a good suction. Now, my truck is hard starting but once it starts it runs fine. I think we may have it!!
