Thanks. My attitude is one of the many things I'm working on improving lol. I've found low expectations and saying f it and diving in go a long way. Body work is something I've never tried until now, but for what I paid for this thing it's cheaper than a semester's books at some pinhead college. I love the thing, but even if I destroy it I still have an engine worth more than I paid for the truck, plus a 100 gal ext fuel tank and a 5th wheel so I won't be too heartbroken.

Trying now to identify all the parts I'm gonna need. Obviously rockers and floor pans, kick panels. I'm not sure how far up the rockers go and if it's that that's rusted or the pillar itself. I'll take detailed pics tomorrow and hopefully get some advice :)

This one got the double-whammy of getting to live in the northeast which is bad enough cause they like to spread salt in what seems a 1:1 ratio to inches of snow around here. I get the feeling it's more about OT for the county workers than keeping me safe, but I digress. It also lived inches from thhttps://www.eastwood.com/?SRCCODE=TXT00040&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=bing&creative=3325639260&device=c&matchtype=e&msclkid=f7373c3851ed13e25ce1605fd7c10d0be bay in Wildwood NJ, which is one of the saltiest places on earth. I'm sure it would be a pile of rust by now if it didn't get to spend it's first 20 tears in SC, a place that gets no salt or snow ever.

My first thought not long ago would have been to scrap it and find a new cab, but after reading some of the threads on this forum and seeing the kinds of major surgery some are doing on theirs I'm inspired to at least give cutting and welding a try. Worse case I butcher it, go find another cab and chalk it up to practice.

I can relate to the salt ratio. I grew up in Jersey I don't miss it much except it's near impossible to get a good Pizza anywhere but there lol. There's plenty of patch panels available. Eastwood is a good place for supplies you might need.

Thanks Mike! Bookmarked the site. Right now I'm trying to figure out exactly what I need. Gonna crawl under and get some pics from the bottom, hoping the cab mounts aren't too bad but that seems unlikely.

Thanks Mike, I'll check them out. I priced out what I think I need at Mill Supply, attached a pic of my cart so far. The piece I'm puzzling over is the rear door posts, I don't see that part available anywhere. This is a Crew Cab, apparently most of the front panels are the same as a standard cab, but I'm getting lost behind the doors as to what actually belongs there on a CC. Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
