No Start after 3 days off
Due to the fact that he has to wait 3 days between troubleshots, this could last for a while. However, one way to check for lack of fuel or air in fuel is to let it set for the 3 days, then while someone cranks it, have someone else open the schrader valve on the driver's side of the fuel filter...- Tim the 2lman

That's just it Double S. With the IPR diconnected the HPOP pressures were much lower. Plus, I put an oscilloscope on the IPR signal from the PCM and had a valid signal that looked just like Ford's documentation said it should with the exception of amplitude. 97 f350 CLUTCH PROBLEM
When you talk about bushing relpacement, are you referring to the one inside the cab that connects the pedal assembly to the master cylinder push rod?- Tim the 2lman

Well, I may have just answered my own question. I went back out, unplugged the CPS and cranked it. What do you know but the tach jumped up to the same exact place. Off to the parts store I go. Cross your fingers.- Tim the 2lman

Nope wires are good. I watch the signaling all the way to the PCM. They look the same from end to end. The IPR duty cycle at crank time is only 15%. I'm not sure but I think that only translates to something just over 500psi. I just noticed something else though. I went out and cranked it...- Tim the 2lman

Thanks jfinch, that reminds me of another thing I've left out. Three different IPR's. One of them brand new as well. The '94-95.5 pumps require an IPR with the edge filter. One of those was the new one. The newly installed '02 pump does not have the edge filter in its IPR.- Tim the 2lman

No Mike. No smoke at all. BigRigTech, I capped off the lines to help eliminate injector o-rings as the sole cause of this problem. I figured that if I wasn't seeing sufficient oil pressure with it capped off then I certainly wouldn't with it connected to the heads. Does that thinking seem...- Tim the 2lman

Oh yeah, you reminded me. Yes I've tried another PCM same exact result. Pulled the IDM and slapped it into a '97 and it fired right up. Got a stick shift so selector not an issue. The diesel shop behind our shop told me that if the oil pressure is below 500psi while cranking, the injectors are...- Tim the 2lman

I bought this '94.5 no run and thought I'd simply wave the magical mechanical wand and have it runnning. Well no such luck. Fuel Filter
Well a couple of things that I think I see in your pic. First, it looks like your filter is not rotated so that the red tabs snap into the black lid. May not be an issue for you. Sorry Mel. Excursion is what I meant to type but had brain fart. On the Excursion, pull the P.S. battery, remove battery pan, then the 3 or 4 bolts that hold the reservoir in. Pull out the reservoir and then pull the pump out of the reservoir. Install the new one in reverse order. Thirty minutes...- Tim the 2lman
