That maybe true.... I can tell you that it is a VE injection pump, so the tricks used in the VE pumped Cummins will work pretty much the same. First off.. the engine will be older than the explorer. I'd check to make sure that it is cool to do if you have any emissions to deal with. The limiter on on the W123 bodies is the MW pump for now. There is a guy here state side that has a Myna built M-Pump on his OM617.952 and it laid down an uncorrected 145WHP, but he REALLY needs a turbo because the smoke never cleared up. That car has the later 4 valve 6 cylinder in it. That engine tweaked right will churn out 500+ whp. Later body style but same engine in this car That's a 400 meter run in Finland at 10.684 and 128.9mph!!!- tgatch

Got a 6.0 today.
If you are going to do any HP upgrades stay clear of the predator. More trucks have popped head gaskets with predator than just about anything else. Factory fuel pump is more than fine as long as you keep good filters in it. Use ONLY the fuel filter with the whit membrane around it in you...- tgatch

Those are both pretty heavy engines.. about 2,000lbs. Specs and sizes here The 3208 is kind of long at 59".- tgatch

EGR cooler delete.
Keeps exhaust gas from superheating the coolant and flash boiling it. One of th causes of coolant puking. Also, EGR coolers seem like to crackj thus causing loss of coolant.- tgatch

Trouble Starting (proably GP)
Check the Glow plug relay fuse. Don't just look at it, pull it out. There are times it looks just fine, but when you pull it out, it comes out in two pieces.- tgatch
