7.3l idi C-6 transmission case
they are breaking right through the bottom left bolt hole out through the bell housing. And no its not worth running an idi against these new trucks thats why im done pulling idi trucks. What kinda of money you need for a tranny?- RKOCH

7.3l idi C-6 transmission case
Tractor pulling to much too hard, the gassers do it too in the same place on the case, but they are esaier to come by. Im pushing alot of torque with the NOS and propane it twist up hard when you hit it, but this one is getting retired now for a hunting and street truck- RKOCH

7.3l idi C-6 transmission case
does anyone have a c-6 diesel tranny or case they wish to part with i busted mine in half. I did it once before and a member hooked me up again hoping some can again let me know thanks RKOCH- RKOCH

Yep me and my stepson were in it! the fuel filter stopped up. I pulled off the side of the road and was opening the door to get out when i saw him in the mirror a split sec before the hit! Knocked the front axle completely out of it!- RKOCH

Yea 10-4 had a drunk in an unisured MB run right under the drivers door at over 70 mph flipped the truck on the side! So I bought a 93 from a a farmer with a 5.8l and put all my parts from the 89 on it!- RKOCH

Strange oil leak. Trying to pinpoint the problem.
I had oil pool up in the valley once and it was the timing cover leaking right under the IP pump- RKOCH

HI IDI brothers been away for a while!
Hello brothers I been away for a bit do to other commitments. Had my 89 totaled by a drunk driver! However all the parts went into a 93 and back up and rolling!- RKOCH

Turning up the pump?
I have installed alot of banks kits and their instruction say 1/4 turn with the turbo. Their tech man told me 1/8 of a turn no turbo 1/4 with the turbo theyu dont speak in flats.- RKOCH

I have for the life of me never understood the fuel milage bit around here. I buy trucks because I need a truck, which is not famous for fuel milage. However I want a truck to preform like a truck not a big car with an open trunk. Which means power and moving the load. If you need fuel milage...- RKOCH

Good lord man 3.73 with 44's you must want no power at all. I had 5.87 gears in my 79 ford, 460ci, C6 trans with 44's way back when and that to me need more gear. I could not imagine that combo.- RKOCH

From 16mpg to 10.5mpg
From what you just said you hit the nail on the head. @ 65 with 4.10 gears a C-6 tranny and OEM tires you should be at or just over 3000 rpm, excactly the same way mine are set up and your driving habits sound a lot like mine. 10 to 12 Mph is right in the ball park.- RKOCH
