Early Banks filter box alternative?
The banks box is a POS, scrap it. The filter is crap, and you can't work on your engine. I took an ATS intake hat for turbo outlet to intake mani, I reused the banks turbo inlet rubber boot 90, and shoved a 4inch steel pipe in it. Tight fit, might have boiled it. Manual Glow Plug Switch Issues
Maybe I'm crazy, but I believe I wired my relay unorthodoxly: Big hot post tied to the S post (switch/signal, it's what the controller would power), and ran a wire from the small ground post to a grounded switch in the cab. This WONT work for relays that don't have a small ground post...- rhkcommander

Put the key in ignition to run position. You can alternatively run a hot wire to the fss to avoid wiring harness issues. Learn to jump/trigger relays, or if you don't feel like it you can manually glow plug and crank starter with a screwdriver - use one you don't care about as the arcs will eat...- rhkcommander

Glow plugs should only be used for 5-8 seconds depending on the brand. Some can go longer but not by much.- rhkcommander

Half-azzed paint job advice?

Fuel Filter Mystery
Rubber hose can collapse internally, if the filter media is clean and the lift pump doesn't do it try replacing the rubber. All else fails, probably the IP going out and the air intrusion from a filter job is messing with timing. I haven't read the thread in a while, it's all a guessing game...- rhkcommander

U Joint Size? At Part Store Waiting!
Ujoints are all over the map on these trucks. I think I had to use a mixed sizer on my 44hd ttb, but maybe I'm misremembering now. The needle bearings were dust in a few of mine! Good save- rhkcommander

What new radiator to buy?
I get that if it's a plastic tanked radiator maybe, but if it's metal on metal it seems redundant to me. Grounding a grounded object. Take a wire from battery positive to your inframe rad if you think it isn't grounded already, you'll quickly see its grounded. Guess I'll have to do some research...- rhkcommander

What new radiator to buy?
Maybe I'm missing something, but why add a ground strap to the radiator? The frame, body all should be well grounded already... Rodney red use to be heavily recommended here if you had a fat wallet. Was 1000+++, otherwise junkyard, retrofit something else, or get those cheap ass aluminum guys...- rhkcommander

I don't remember the green wire but I likely abandoned it. Great post @catbird7 ! I also used a resettable breaker instead of a bus fuse but it's all good.- rhkcommander
