No title free truck worth it?
Um, duh! Free truck ALWAYS = Yes! Jump first, figure out details later. Worst case scenario you end up with a whole truck full of swappable parts. Shoot, one salvaged lug nut and you're money ahead!- nitroguy

94 E350 RV sitting for 10 years! 390k miles....
Also, don't forget to fill your fuel filter with diesel before you start all the cranking. I've killed whole batteries just trying to fill it while cranking the engine to drive the mechanical lift pump.- nitroguy

Quick tip for those who have bypassed their glow plug relay
Good tip! I disconnected my dinger so that doesn't work. I just count to somewhere between 8 and 12 depending on how cold I am. But sometimes that works against me, because the colder I am the faster I count. Maybe I should plug that dinger back in again....- nitroguy

Can 9v 7.3 GPs handle 12v if used carefully?
For what it's worth, I built my own harness using just a solenoid and a push button and completely removing any and all trace of the controller. Using bullet style plugs, shooting them with a full 12v straight from the battery (yeah yeah, via the solenoid, technically). Here in NW Montana I...- nitroguy

Project! Introducing Smokey Pete, the 1989 F250.
Update time. It goes. But really, that's the update. I drive it everyday, and I love it. I get thumbs up at every single stoplight I stop at. Offers to buy it from every mechanic and tire shop I visit (ok, that's like 3, from picking friends up). Runs great, gets 17mpg city and 21 on a trip...- nitroguy
