I paid $750 for my first truck. The prior owner thought the motor was toasted because it was leaking oil allover the place. I replaced the oil line going to the turbo and it fixed the oil leak. Still driving that truck 13 years later
Next one I bought sight-un-seen for 300 bucks, I bought...
Where are you located? I am looking for stock f350 spring and stuff to lower a truck back to stock height, I would trade out a ruff country 4 inch lift for stock.
I am in central Cal by the coast

I broke off the ear for the slave cylinder off my bell housing. I had it welded back on by a welding shop. The bell housing on mine was cast aluminum. Take it to a good welding shop to have fixed.

Thanks so much for the plans.
I plan on using the timer in my truck as a safety to the stock controller I will be putting it inline to the glow plug relay. This way if the stock controller fails it will not take out my glow plugs. I would go full manual push button but this truck gets...
Agnem will you please repost your 555-timer glow plug controller plans.
I have search high and low for the timer plans. I can not find them. The old link is dead on the other web site.
Thanks do much Ethan
I know this may sound basic. When I bought my truck the turbo “sprayed” oil all over the place. It turned out to be just the turbo oil-line had small hole in it.

I had put a new to me used engine in my truck. Over the entire engine looked very good from exam, Newer remanufactured short block, fresh heads. Glow plugs look brand new.
I put new injectors because it had old mismatched injectors I also installed a new return line kit.
I have two...
I finally got the engine out of my f-250. It was a pain in my back side. I could not get the ATS turbo up-pipe off the turbo no matter what I did. I ended up using “towcat” idea of raising the cab of the truck. I put 4x4 blocks under the cab mount and then had room to pull the engine out...
When I helped my on my friends trucks the only way you could get a wrench on the driver rear bottom was to drop the front fuel tank. I was under the truck today looking at that rear drivers mount and it has a nut on the bottom. Can you get them loose without dropping the tank?
I will try...
I think I am going to go with Towcat’s idea. I will cut some block out of 4x4’s lift the cab up and place them under the cab supports (I will replace the cab mounts while I am there). I have planned on change out the rag-joint on the steering while the motor is out.
I will pull the...
I am trying to remove the up pipe from the exhaust to turbo, it is a slip fit that has rusted up on me. It has been in for about 200000 mile and 17 years. Thankfully I live in a non-rust belt.
I will try pulling the left side exhaust manifold tomorrow to get room to work on the up pipe. If...
Ok How the heck do you remove the “t” pipe from an ATS non-wastegated turbo. I have the down pipe loose. I have the nuts at the exhaust removed. I have sprayed ever type of penetrating oil stuff I have (PB blaster, liquid wrench plus a few others) at the slip joint on the snail housing and...
