so, i will be getting my first truck very soon, a 1985 f350 crew cab, long box, 6.9, 4 speed  . ive had a look at it already and its in pretty decent shape. alreeady, i am thinking of lifting it, and i have a dumb question. since the truck is straight front axle, would there be away to uselift blocks on it instead of full lift springs? im kindof on a tight budget at the moment, i know i would need a dropped pitman arm etc. will postpics when i get it, thanks!

EXCEEDINGLY DANGEROUS TO DO BLOCKS ON THE FRONT.

A shackle reversal kit can net several inches with stock springs...

Suggest research this option...

If tight budget...be patient...wait..do it right and safe for your sake and lives of others...

Lift requires

Shocks f n r
Extended brake lines f n r
Springs rear cause 8" blocks are tarded...
New uboltz for new springs rear
New spring eye bolts cause old ones likely shot
A shackle reversal kit up front...look up sky manufacturing shackle reversal kit.
Probably new drive shafts

Lots of labour..

Where are you located? I am looking for stock f350 spring and stuff to lower a truck back to stock height, I would trade out a ruff country 4 inch lift for stock.

I am in central Cal by the coast

Why wait go get it present yourself a Christmas present....

A stock F 350 is pretty capable especially with traction aids...detroit true trac for example in front and rear. Far superior idea to toss traction aids in the axles than lift the truck.

If 35 or even 37 fit stock...with traction aids skip lift as lower centre of gravity is gooder!!

Toss on a monster winch Princess Auto 15,500 or 17,000 lb on sale grab one...truck essentially woukd be thoroughly unstopable.

Manitoba eh...not much in ways of hills or rock crawling....

How much for truck?
