I've pulled and installed many idi engines. Curious about pulling/installing them with the ZF5 attached? I have lots of lifting power/reach and means of support. Im doing an install of both engine and trans in the bush soon without means of a decent jack or decent ground to work on. The...
Installing comp 910's for the first time on a turboed 6.9. And since the umbrella seals on the exhaust don't fit right with the 910s, I will install them without seals on the exhaust side as I don't want to install the positive seals on the exhaust, in fear of accelerated guide wear.

Prestone command HD diesel, purple. Ever since it first came out, on various different diesels including idi's, wet sleeved, parent bore, import, domestic, big, small, new, old etc.
This is a topic that has gone thru and will continue to go through revisions. QC changes on everything, circumstances change, etc etc. It's good to keep this discussion going as there will always be updates on QC of all pumps, ways to install them, results etc. That's what's great about...
Good advice, maybe next time I will get a Eaton or Detroit. So far, for average driving, light duty off road/slippery driveways etc, the Yukons have been good. We'll see how they stand up long term
