    No start after rebuild

Hi guys. Pulling my hair out here and hoping you can help. Just rebuilt this 2003 - new crank, pistons, rings, bearings etc. All back together and reinstalled. I'm getting a crank no start. While cranking it will huff black smoke and very intermittently "fire" but not take off. I'm getting ~6000...

Replaced IPR now has a long crank

As an update, there have been no more issues that I'm aware of now that I've replaced the IPR. I'm not sure why the P0340 kept coming up, but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything for now. They tell the me long crank has gotten better. Hopefully that is the case.

Replaced IPR now has a long crank

I'm not sure why you would jump to orings so fast on this one?! I did go cheap (actually fast because we don't have a Ford dealer that I can get parts same day) and buy the IPR from CQ. Replaced IPR now has a long crank

Hi all, been looking at this truck for a while now. It is a 1994.5 and has been having random stall/no restart problems. My friend's 1974 1310 Turbo IDI build!

Just read through the entire build! Very nice. This thing is like *** on wheels :) Get the boost issue figured for a little extra power out of it, dress up that flatbed with some nice stained maple or something and wow!!

    Injector caps?/return lines

This is a little on topic I guess so i'll post here. Early kit has lines out center of caps and are smaller. late kit has lines on outside and are larger correct? What concerns would be noted if there was an early kit placed on a late engine? I'm curious, I was looking at mine the other day and...

    Start them young

Thanks for the post! I love to see little kids getting in to this stuff. I personally started tinkering when I was in 6th grade. We had an old lawnmower laying around and I just decided to tear it apart one day and find out how it worked. It's been a disease ever since. I now have 3 children...

There is fluid that can get to the back of the trans, however it is not pressurized. Just splash if I remember correctly.
