Fuel additive
we add either 1 gal of atf or equipment hydraulic fluid per tank; we have alot of oil around to choose from because we run a lot of heavy equipment.- diesel fumes

Aftermarket gauges recommendations
autometer steppermotor gauges ; i had issues with trans overheating ,so put in trans oil temp plus others in pod; gauge selection depends on what you think is most important- diesel fumes

2001 Ford F-250 7.3 diesel transmission problems.
had same issue with 97 f350 7.3 e4od some years back. blew out a few quarts throug seal after hauling load for couple hours on highway. had it towed home. did not pull trans or replace seal. replaced stock tiny oil cooler with 6.0 cooler ;larger iles; remote oil trans spinon filter ; larger oil...- diesel fumes

Larger transmission pan
97 7.3 dual flatbed with gooseneck ; after blowing oil out of e4od from overheating [loaded long haul] put on derale deep pan with cooling tubes ; 6.0 oil cooler ; spin on filter conversion ; and replaced 5/16" cooler to trans lines with 3/8" lines ; highest trans temp has been since is in 140...- diesel fumes

Need new batteries
bought our 1997 f350 dual 7.3 new in 97 ;starts like day it was new with original motorcraft batteries ; we also have many ag tractors ; dozers etc. ; no other brand of battery has even come close to half that longevity- diesel fumes
