Question for old timers? Maybe youngins who know trailers
Well, after failing to find reliable data, I figured it was worth a shot here. I'm in the market for a gooseneck trailer, would prefer smaller. Found a 16 footer, but don't really have any way to tell what kind of weight ratings it can handle. It's a good 2 hours from me so have not looked...- DesertBen44

Forgot to repost back with data, yoke was indeed bad! New yoke fits the Ujoint perfect, been trying to get it installed though. Have yet to get the pinion yoke to slide all the way onto the pinion shaft.- DesertBen44

Im going to try the drivetrain shop in town Tomorrow, thanks! THe more i am looking into it, the more I think the rear axle pinion shaft is worn. Hope thats it!- DesertBen44

U joint shennanigans, Dont know what else to do
So my 2002 v10 f350 is down for the count. ridiculous drive shaft vibration. Upon investigation, found the rear U joint, though it presses into the drive shaft nicely, has play between the keepers on the axle yoke. So does every other U joint that claims to fit this kind of truck in this spot...- DesertBen44

question about a clutch master clyinder
His clutch master has an inlet for vacuum? I have never seen one like that, changed my clutch master a few days ago because the rod that connects to the pedal was about to wear completely through the eyelet :confused: Mine only had one connection for the clutch line and then the bolts holding it...- DesertBen44

Thanks for info all, those reid racing knuckles look nice! damn expensive though! if dieselcrawlers knuckles have not failed yet that gives me some good confidence, your rig has probably seen a lot more offroading then mine will!- DesertBen44

Just was curious if any of you guys rolling around in trucks with kingpin dana 60s have ever had a knuckle break? All my internet wrenching tells me that the ford kingpins had weaker knuckles then the dodge and chevy, and that beefy aftermarket knuckles are $200 and up a piece. Reason I am...- DesertBen44

Zf5-zf6 swap
I was under the impression the zf6 is Huge in diameter compared to the zf5, and extensive sheet metal mods would be required to fit it into an OBS? Not firsthand experience, but read that multiple times on multiple forums researching cummins swaps- DesertBen44
