You're right, ARP studs don't stretch. Several years ago, the accepted procedure for installing the studs was to install the heads and torque the nuts down in sequence, loosen them, then retorque. 14 lb/ft on the 4 bolts. That comes from the 1984/1985 Ford shop manual for the 6.9 motor.- Dave Barbieri

No damage. For short term use, to get you to the store tonight, this'll work. Keep in mind that semi-syn oil is a mixture of conventional oil and synthetic oil, so all you're doing is changing the percentage of synthetic oil to conventional oil. 6.9 keeps shutting down
Is this fuel not getting to the injection pump, or fuel not getting form the pump to the injectors? To determine this, the next time it quits on you, pop the hood and look for the schraeder valve on the secondary filter head. Plastic pilot bearing?? Are you kidding me??
That 'plastic' is actually Kevlar. It's supposed to be very effective as a pilot bearing material. I installed one with my new clutch. Didn't notice anything better or worse. It does the job.- Dave Barbieri
