Ok, I finally need help with my 1989 7.3 idi in ambulance body, my work truck. Ran fine to work last friday but when I started it using my aftermarket glow plug momentary switch, it started fine, glow plugs worked fine but the alternator wasn't charging. I drove it home, pulled off the...- 1camper

ambulance fried something
My 1989 ambulance 7.3 idi was in for inspection at the service station. The guy said he pulled it out of the service bay and it died. I came to look at it..I found the plug on top of the alternator had cracked and shorted out. I spliced the two bottom hot wires back together and got the rest...- 1camper
