Been posting around oblivious to this section somehow. Great community here and very knowledgeable/helpful people. Thanks to those who've done the homework and are willing to give a little of their own time to help a new guy out..
My name is Jordan.
Im good at mostly some things, mainly my family, beer drinking, and tinkering on cars and stuff.
I've been fortunate enough to have my fingers on the gamut of the automotive spectrum.
I scored the perfect truck by some grace. Luck and some searching led me here.
So, I'm happy to join the ranks of ye olde oilburners as I rescue my dream truck from the clutches of the crusher and get her back on the road.

Welcome to Oilburners Jordan. Nice truck!

Don't forget to add your truck particulars in your signature. :)

There's a ton of good stuff in the tech section. When searching for something on the Oilburners site, I find using google with "site:eek:ilburners.net" along with what your searching for works better than the search facility on this site. :)

Thanks all. Good tip on the Google search @bbjordan . Will be using that for sure.
@towcat , yep! Good ol Redding . I've seen a few IDIs going down the i5 corridor but haven't met anyone local yet. Would like to start a far-nor cal meetup one of these days after I have it back on the road. Been meaning to get back to you about them parts but expecting a new addition to our family any day now.

Lots of work still to go. She had quite a bit of fire damage but it will come together in due time.

no worries, I tend to sit on parts for an awfully long time. I might be making a run to Portland that I am dreading due to Grants pass and my truck is literally a flying gas can. I might be able to drop it off as I'm chugging by.

Welcome to the forum, and if I'm not mistaken you reside in the great state of Jefferson? Or at least should get to.

Have you tried Hwy 97 from Weed to La Pine and then Hwy 58 to Eugene? It avoids the major cities without getting to squirrly or crooked. Less traffic, and still a nice stretch of blacktop.

@towcat , looks like a daily driver to me!. I'm stuck daily driving our mini van until the truck is ready and she's in a similar state lol. Let me know if/when you may be coming through and will do what I can to make it happen. Were a bit tight on funds at the moment which is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but if opportunity comes knocking I'll make it work.
@Pork_Chop50 , yeah we are considered part of Jefferson state. Can't go anywhere without seeing a sign, flag or bumper sticker. Now if we could only make it official..
