Tank pickup extension?

Remind me some links to what others are doing or refresh my memory? I forget if I used rubber hose or a compression fitting and copper to extend my rear tank pickup when I did the 38 gal swap... But I'm replacing my front tank now as it was leaking and of course the shower head is broken off. Need to extend the line what is the preferred way? I'm leaning towards compression fitting and copper and just cut the end at an angle to be safe. What are you guys doing? Wasn't there an article on this?

OK, the pickup tube is 3/8". I have a 3/8" compression fitting and some 3/8" brake line I can use, or 3/8" rubber hose. Leaning towards compression fitting and hard line.

And immersion... Lots of tubing has liners to resist chemicals, then outer structural parts. Just because it's rated to have fuel inside it doesn't mean it likes fuel on the outside...

Be prepared to dig deep into your wallet tho, that submersible rated line is salty!

Used the brake line for it... Steel line coated on the outside, I just removed the coating so it's bare steel. Was worried about using rubber fuel line and breaking down/swelling/whatever after being submersed for some time.
